A Stunning Wedding at Beth Tfiloh

April 1, 2009

Heather and Dan , both very stylish individuals and accomplished professionals, celebrated their wedding and  reception at Beth Tfiloh. Beth Tfiloh is a unique venue and is architecturally significant, providing fantastic settings for our creating images of the ceremony , ‘formal’s’ and reception.
Heather’s  make up was by Gregory Dean and her hair was done by Ashley Riddle. Both of these two talented artists enhanced Heather’s natural beauty.

Bride and GroomI think this image of a father’s love for his daughter needs no further explanation.

Bride and Father Getting ReadyA private moment, which we were privy to, when Dan saw his beloved for the first time on their wedding day. These moments are powerful, true and real.

Groom Waiting For The Bride

A stunning contrast with the bridesmaids in black, Heather in ivory and  flowers, perfectly complimentary. This image was created by one of our supremely talented second photographers from an oblique, a-traditional perspective. -Keeps things visual intriguing.

The floral designs and execution are by Carol Langrall, owner of A Garden of Earthly Delights.

Putting On The Ring

Understated elegance was apparent at the reception. Subdued lighting, delightful color schemes in the linen selections, were realized by the efforts of Heather and the top vendors she chose. They included Accents on Events, Table Toppers, and Select Event Rentals.

The owner of Catering by Weiss, Alan Weiss is a rather remarkable guy, not only providing delectable kosher fare for the guests  but also serving as Heather’s wedding coordinator. Alan is equally skilled in both aspects, and his deep knowledge of event planning  made the evening  truly memorable.

The Ballroom at Beth Tfiloh

The music was by The Source and they are HOT! Heather’s training in ballet and her new husbands very smooth moves captured everyone’s attention as they watched Heather and Dan share their first dance in perfect synchronicity.

A completely magical and enchanting wedding. We were in ‘flow’ and present to capture every moment as this very special wedding unfolded before us.

Jyoti and Manan

August 26, 2008

Jyoti and Manan were married at the American Visionary Arts Museum on July 19. Alicia Karrol the coordinator at AVAM made sure that everything was perfect in anticipation of the traditional ceremony and western style reception that followed.

The bride and groom, both of whom are physicians, were resplendent in their wedding attire – truly a visual feast! Our studio has become the image makers of choice for many Indian, Pakistani and other cultural events due in part to our familiarity with their unique traditions but primarily because we capture all of the beauty, joy and emotion that is universal to all weddings.

Look closely at the patterns on Jyoti’s hands that were dyed with henna, as were her attendants and friends. Can you find the grooms initials?

AVAM is such a fantastic location for photographs, giving us rich backgrounds that are diverse and allow us to show off the handsome couple at their very best.

Carole Langrall, our highly creative friend and owner of A Garden of Earthly Delights designed the flowers for this wedding. Her arrangements are always highly individualized and incorporate unusual and immensely pleasing elements .

Ganesha, The Lord of Success, bore witness to the ceremony
The son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha has an elephantine countenance with a curved trunk and big ears, and a huge pot-bellied body of a human being. He is the Lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles.

Married and radiant!

The newlyweds changed from their wedding garb into a very classic suit for Manan and the most incredible turquoise, traditionally influenced dress for Jyoti.

Putting on the Ritz exceeded all expectations with the dinner menu and left the guests sated and feeling very much cared for.

Truly a memorable wedding and we were honored to be a part of it.

Jill and Patrick 4/26/08

August 6, 2008

Jill was, and is still a friend of mine who lived in Baltimore before moving to Northern Virginia. She and Patrick met and fell in love there.

Knowing and trusting our abilities, Jill and Patrick chose our studio to create images for them on their wedding day.

My friend never looked more beautiful and we were honored to document all of the joy Jill and Patrick shared with their friends and loved ones.

The bride and groom decided to have all of their images created before their wedding ceremony, so off we went to Sherwood Gardens.

Jill chose A Garden of Earthly Delights for the bridal party’s flower and reception centerpieces. Carole Langrall, owner and designer, created absolutely unique and original arrangements that were simply beautiful.

The groom suggested this shot. In the past, I’ve been a bit hesitant to ask our brides to lie on the ground, but Jill, being Jill, went for it.

Cocktails and the reception followed at The Belvedere, one of the grandest venues in our fair city.
